ParticipantI printed a few 8×10 photos recently, and they fit perfectly in standard frames but had a little cropping when I used phone pics because of the original aspect ratio.

ParticipantI also printed a few 8x10s before and they look smaller than I expected when framed with a mat, so I started displaying them digitally using https://www.nixplay.com/
It shows the full image without cropping, which helped me avoid guessing how much would get cut off in prints. You can upload straight from your phone, and it keeps the photo size consistent, which works better for portraits I took.
