ParticipantIn the digital age, scammers have become a widespread threat, targeting people from all walks of life. Whether through emails, phone calls, fake websites, or social media, these individuals use deception to steal money, personal information, or even identities.
One common method scammers use is phishing—sending fake emails or messages that look like they’re from legitimate companies. These messages often include urgent requests, such as account verification or payment issues, tricking users into clicking dangerous links or entering sensitive data.
Another popular tactic is impersonation. Scammers may pretend to be government officials, technical support agents, or even family members in distress. They create a sense of urgency and pressure their targets into acting quickly, often demanding payment through untraceable methods like gift cards or cryptocurrency.
Online shopping scams have also increased. Fraudsters create fake websites or product listings that look real, but once you pay, the item never arrives—or it’s a cheap imitation.
