Kathryn Fowler, MD, is a board-certified radiologist who specializes in body and oncological imaging. She performs liver imaging, hepatobiliary imaging, pancreatic imaging, vascular imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, renal imaging, gynecological imaging, rectal imaging and GI imaging.As an associate professor in the Department of Radiology, Dr. Fowler is involved in the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students at the UC San Diego School of Medicine, where she also serves as director of abdominal and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and director of the Liver Imaging Group (LIG).She has lectured nationally and internationally about liver cancer, transplantation, surgery, imaging and MRI, and written several book chapters and over 150 peer-reviewed publications.
